Iran Says Zion Is Not As Strong As Before

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on Sunday took to Twitter to belittle Israel, claiming the Jewish state is ‘weaker’ than it has been in the past.
‘The Zionist regime is clearly weaker than 10, 20 years ago. A few years ago they fought Hezbollah for 33 days and were defeated. They were defeated 2 years later in the 22-day war on Palestinian resistance; in 8-day war on oppressed people of Gaza and recently in the 2-day war,’ tweeted the Iranian leader.

Iran has had so much to say about Israel in recent years. What struck me as odd is that as the major nations of the world signed a recent nuclear deal with Iran, lifting the economic sanctions, they never for one minute ever retracted their statements of hate for and desire to wipe Israel off the map. That proves to show just how blinded the nations of the world are becoming concerning Zion’s future. In this tweet, the Supreme Leader of Iran appears to be even now assessing Israel’s strength, planning for a future move. As I read this excerpt, I thought how this nation, along with an enemy from the North, will grossly miscalculate Zion’s strength one day soon and make a fatal advance against Israel in what is call the Ezekiel 38 war. I also thought how a brief Bible search on Zion would help correct their obscure vision. Here are just a few really good ones:

They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. Psalm 125:1
Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion. Psalm 129:5

I love this next one, but it does have a warning if you look at the flip-side:

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Psalm 122:6

Perhaps this scripture best shows wherein Zion’s strength lies and why she will not be defeated:

For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. Isaiah 62:1

It would be in Iran’s and the Enemy from the North’s best interest to take heed to God’s promises concerning Zion. It is in our best interest to pray for “the peace of Jerusalem.”
